Biography
The youngest mayor in the city's history.
Mayor Bryan Calvo is a lifelong Hialeah resident who graduated as valedictorian from Westland Hialeah Senior High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University, with a language citation in Italian, and took part in leadership organizations including Harvard Model Congress, also serving as president of the Harvard Candela Salsa Team.
In 2018, he was selected for the White House Internship Program, working with federal officials on policy issues affecting cities nationwide. After completing law school at Florida International University College of Law, he was admitted to practice law in Florida in 2022, focusing on civil litigation, including complex commercial and mass tort matters.
While attending law school, Calvo was elected to the Hialeah City Council. In November 2025, he was elected Mayor, becoming the youngest mayor in the city's history.
Outside of his official duties, he holds a private pilot's license and enjoys scuba diving, spearfishing, and outdoor activities with his dog, Ziva.
